How Did I Handle… Developing a 3D Production Pipeline for Render Time

I’m making a 1‑scene short film, featuring an organic character descending on a natural background. The solution I'm developing here consists of making a bipedal character animation with additional simulations. I'm managing this project by dividing it into 3 milestones:
1. Pre‑production
2. Production
3. Post‑production
During pre‑production, I'm developing the look and feel of both, character and environment, using 2D tools. This is the moment to get creative and make experiments. I’m making all decisions at this stage. No professional artist can afford strategical changes during the production phase. These are some of the tasks I’m tackling:
• Storyboard & animatic
• Facial expressions
• Turnaround
• Orthographic views
• Concept art
